NAEYC SD Child Care Provider Survey on the Impact of COVID-19
In April 2020, the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) conducted a nationwide survey to investigate the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on child care. More than 5,000 providers responded to the survey between April 2nd and 10th.
To improve responses rates for the Black Hills, NAEYC partnered with Black Hills Reads and the South Dakota Association for the Education of Young Children (SDAEYC) to distribute the survey in South Dakota which helped generate 215 responses from South Dakota providers.
These groups partnered with Benchmark Data Labs to provide state-level analysis on how COVID-19 specifically impacted South Dakota child care providers.
